Hi Phil, this camera records using H.264/AAC, it's very good quality to be fair, very impressed so far. Your G5 should handle it fine.

Hi Tom - Sam sent me over here to read your review as I'm thinking of getting a Zi6. Thing I want to know is whether it'll work with iMovie on a G5 iMac. What does it record footage as? Is it some flavour of MPEG/H.264 or is it AVCHD? I think you can only do AVCHD with an Intel mac. Any ideas?
